KILIMANJARO VIA MACHAME ROUTE

Day 1- Breakfast, drive from your hotel in Arusha to Machame gate (about 45min.). After about
an hour of registration and park fees payments, start climbing along a clear trail through plantation and natural forest, thereafter a narrow forest path follows to the Machame Camp (9,900ft) for dinner and overnight.

Day 2- Breakfast, ascending through the forest, steep ridge passing through heather and open moorlands, and crossing a large gorge to Shira Camp (12,600ft) for dinner and overnight.
The distance is about 5-6 hours.

Day 3- After breakfast, we will leave Shira to Baranco camp. We will pass close to Lava tower with
lunch on the way to Baranco Camp (12,850ft) for dinner and overnight.

Day 4- After breakfast, we leave Baranco hut for Karanga hut. We will pass through the last water
drop at Karanga valley on the way up. Overnight Karanga Camp.

Day 5- After breakfast, we leave Karanga hut to Barafut hut (14,910ft). Wake up at midnight, and
after a small snack, start ascending to Uhuru Peak through the Stella point (18,640ft), then
after reaching the summit, we will go back to Mweka camp via Barafu camp.

Day 6- We will head down to Mweka Camp (10,010ft) for dinner and overnight.

Day 7- After breakfast, we will head down to Mweka gate, and the waiting vehicle will take you to
Hotel in Arusha.

Price includes:

• Arrival and departure Kilimanjaro Airport transfers. Or bus shuttle transfer Nairobi-Arusha-Nairobi if flying
to/from Nairobi.

• 2 nights accommodations at a mid-class hotel (Bed & Breakfast) in Arusha, before and after the climb/safari. Upgrade to Impala hotel or Snow crest hotel or The Ngurdoto Mountain Lodge is available for $50/person for the night  in Arusha.

• Accommodation in mountain huts or mountain tents with mattresses. We use the highest quality
expedition tents of Eureka and The North Face.

• All park fees, including mountain rescue fees, government taxes and all applicable fees and taxes.

• Services of a Professional leading guide who is medically trained, certified, licensed and English
speaking

• Services of English-speaking assistant guide (s), a skilled cook, and enough numbers of porters for your
luggage, food, and water, and a dinning tent.

• Transport from your hotel to the mountain, and back to your hotel.

• Use of radios/phones to increase your safety.

• Group average of 4~6 climbers, maximum of 12
