Day 1.
Arusha to Ngorongoro Crater
Arrival and drive to the Ngorongoro Crater (3-4 hours). Overnight at Simba ‘A’ Public Campsite on the Crater Rim at an elevation of 2700m, offering amazing views.

Day 2.
Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, we descend into the crater to spend the morning watching wildlife in this superb setting. We stop within the crater for a packed lunch and continue our game viewing in the afternoon. Overnight at Simba ‘A’ Public Campsite on the Crater Rim.

Day 3.
Ngorongoro Crater Rim Walk
Drive to Seneto and then walk along the crater rim through Ndembesi Forest to Layanai campsite. The walk is supported by donkeys carrying our luggage, provisions, and equipment, along with our crew. Overnight at Layanai special bush campsite.

Day 4.
Layanai to Nainokanoka
Set off for a 5-6 hour walk to Nainokanoka campsite via Olmoti Crater, traversing forested slopes, grassland savannahs, and bush. Overnight at Nainokanoka special bush campsite.

Day 5.
Nainokanoka to Empakaai
After breakfast, we set off for a 7-8 hour walk to Empakaai campsite via Embulbul Depression and Bulati, passing by some Maasai Bomas (traditional villages). Overnight at Empakaai special Campsite.

Day 6.
Empakaai Crater
After an early breakfast overlooking the crater, we start our descent through the forest towards the crater floor for a different perspective of this amazing place. It's about a 6-7 hour walk. We stop within the crater for a packed lunch before hiking back to the campsite for overnight at the crater rim.

Day 7.
Empakaai to Acacia Camp
After breakfast, we walk out of camp heading to Acacia camp. Bush campsite overnight at Acacia Special Campsite.

Day 8.
Acacia Camp to Lake Natron
After breakfast, we head to Lake Natron and are met by vehicles near the edge of Oldoinyo Lengai mountain to drive to Kamakia campsite. We can visit the shores of Lake Natron in the late afternoon. After visiting the shores, we have two options:
Option 1: Climb the nearby volcano of Oldoinyo Lengai the same day. Get up around midnight to reach the top for sunrise and avoid the heat of the day. Then drive on dirt roads towards Twiga Lodges and permanent camp near Lake Manyara National Park. Overnight at campsite.
Option 2: Overnight at Kamakia campsite.

Day 9.
Option1: Cultural Experience
Leisurely walk to visit different tribes in the area and some of the schools and projects supported by a portion of the profit from each booked trip.
Option2: Game Viewing
Game viewing after breakfast around Lake Manyara National Park. Return to Arusha in the late afternoon to a dayroom where we can shower and arrange our luggage for the flight home tonight from Kilimanjaro airport.
