The park covers approximately 130 square miles (336 square kilometers) and offers a spectacular view with the Rift Valley as a stunning backdrop. The surrounding area includes forest and green grasslands, making it a perfect introduction to Tanzania's wildlife species, including a diverse array of birds.
Manyara offers a variety of wildlife, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, jackals, African wild dogs, African cape buffalo, wildebeest, Grant's and Thomson's gazelles, hippos, and many other large herds of mammals such as eland, baboons, and dik-diks. The park is also home to over 400 different species of birds.
